Technical Grant awarded by JP Morgan Chase Build Client Database for OLCDC

June 5th, 2019, OLDCD’s Force for Good team showcased their work in Tampa alongside other teams in South Florida.

On October 2018, the Opa-locka Community Development Corporation (OLCDC) was award the JP Morgan Chase Force for Good technical grant. The Force for Good grant is a part of JP Morgan Chase’s Technology for Social Good initiative where their technology team dedicates 6-8 months to develop technological solutions for social good organizations.

Over the last couple years, OLCDC has expanded its focus areas from real estate development to include arts/culture, social services, education, health/wellness, small business development and financial empowerment. In order to increase cross-departmental referrals and our overall community impact, the Force for Good team connected all departments under one customer relationship management (CRM) system. Their work has helped OLCDC track client progress, manage volunteers, and automate all web-based forms. The grant provided OLCDC with specialized technical skills not available within the organization, while saving time and resources that they now gear toward other community initiatives.

OLCDC plans to widely rollout the CRM system in early fall 2019.
