In July 2012, OLCDC hosted a charrette at the University of Miami School of Architecture to develop a conceptual framework to include the various arts components in question into the revitalization of Opa-locka. The Opa-locka Public Art Master Plan was in part a result of this charrette. A special thanks to Roberto Behar & Rosario Marquardt of R & R Studios for helping to conduct the charrette, as well as producing the Master Plan. In a WLRN Miami Community Stories video entitled Reinventing Opa-locka, Behar and Marquardt discuss how chosen artists intend to optimize Opa-locka's transformation by incorporating art, architecture and landscape projects into the City's urban design.
